英Financial Times、iOSアプリ削除後のWeb版が好調

HTML5標準対応のモバイルアプリ

英Financial Times(FT)は先月、App Storeでのサブスクリプション制度を嫌ってiOSアプリをストアから削除したが、Webブラウザから閲覧可能なHTML5ベースアプリが好調なようだ。

Reutersによると、FTのWeb版のモバイルアプリ経由の定期購読者数は70万人以上に達して、App Storeで販売していた頃より増加しているという。

FTは、Appleに顧客データが渡ることや30%もの手数料を徴収されることなどをめぐりAppleと対立していたが、先月31日に交渉は決裂してApp Storeからアプリを削除していた。
