韓国KAIST ITCによる電子書籍向けインターフェイスのプロトタイプ「Smart E-Book Interface」が話題となっている。
リアルなページめくりの操作感を実現したiPadを使ったデモビデオでは、Appleの独自APIが使用されているとのことだが、これまでに無いようなフリップやスクロール、スワイプ、複数の指によるカスタムジェスチャ操作などが見て取れる。
プロトタイプながら操作性にはサクサク感やリアル感、描画のスピード感があり、直感的なジェスチャによる数多くのタスクやナビゲーション機能が紹介されている。
