日本郵政、”土壇場”で「SHA-2」へ移行

日本郵政グループは、2016年12月末にサーバ証明書のハッシュアルゴリズムをSHA-1からSHA-2へ移行する（追跡・再配達などは11月13日に移行）。 SHA-1からSHA-2への移行は、安全性向上のため、2010年までに移行するよう米NIST（アメリカ国立標準技術研究所）より勧告されていたが、普及はなかなか進んでいなかった。ただ、Microsoftが2017年2月14日以降、Windows環境でSHA-1証明書の利用停止を決定。さらに、CAブラウザフォーラムも、2016年1月1日以降のSHA-1証明書発行停止と最大有効期間を2016年末までとする指針を打ち出していた。こうした一連の動きのなか、日本郵政グループは土壇場でSHA-2方式へ移行することとなった。これにより、SHA-2に対応していないWindows XP SP2 以前・Internet Explorer 6.0以前のバージョンは非対応となる（Macは10.5以前、Androidは1.5以前、2009年以前の携帯電話などが対応しない）。日本のHTTPSの利用率は30%程度に過ぎないが、最近ではSSL/TLS証明書を無償で取得できるサービス（Let’s Encryptなど）も出てきている。また、GoogleがSEOで優遇措置を講じていることから、HTTPSへの切り替えはさらに加速しそうだ。

GoogleはAdSense向け広告コードに、“完全非同期”バージョン（ベータ版）を新たに追加した。非同期コードに置き換えることにより、ページ解析をしながらスクリプトを非同期に実行ダウンロード可能となり、ウェブページ読み込み時間短縮のほか、モバイルネットワーク環境などでもメインコンテンツのスムーズな読み込みにつながるといったメリットが生じる。 Script要素に使用されている“async”はHTML5に追加された属性。ちなみに、async以外に“defer”と呼ばれる属性もあり、こちらはHTMLの読み込みが完了した時点でスクリプトをダウンロードする際に使われる。複数の広告ユニットを１ページ内に掲載するケースでは、スクリプト部（<script async src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>）はページ内に一度記述すれば問題無く、できるだけトップに近い部分に記述するほうが良いようだ。 Googleは新しいコードに置き換える際は、ページ内の全ての広告ユニットを同時に切り替えることを推奨しており、まだベータ版ながらUX向上につながることが期待される。 CF : Google Developers Blog（英語）

ソフトバンクモバイルは3月14日、Appleの新型iPadを3月16日午前8時以降に順次発売すると発表した。ソフトバンクショップの旗艦店である銀座店では、同日7時45分よりカウントダウンイベントを開催し、孫正義社長をはじめ白戸家のテレビCMに出演中のトリンドル玲奈さんらも出席するという。また、全国のiPad取扱店では、事前予約をしていない顧客向けにも当日販売分が若干用意される。

[Piper Jaffray] 2012年Q1のMac販売台数は前年同期比約20%増

市場調査会社Piper JaffrayのApple担当アナリストであるジーン・マンスター氏は、投資家宛のメモのなかで、市場調査会社NPDが発表した2月の米国におけるMac売上データを引用して、Macの販売台数は前年同月比で4%の伸びにとどまったものの、グローバル市場では第1四半期に17〜22%の成長率が見込まれ、依然として力強い成長が期待できると分析した。同氏は当四半期のMac販売台数を440〜460万台と見積もっている。Macニューモデル投入はIntelの第3世代コアiプロセッサ「Ivy Bridge」待ちの状況が続いており、売れ筋のMacBookファミリーやiMacなどは4月末までアップデートは行われないとみられている。マンスター氏は、iPhoneについても前期に引き続いて販売が好調に推移しており、iPadについては、発売初日だけで少なくとも100万台以上が販売されるだろうと予測している。

Time Warner傘下の米大手ニュース・メディアCNNがソーシャルメディアブログを運営する米Mashableを2億ドル以上で買収するとの噂が駆け巡っている。 ReutersのブロガーFelix Salmon氏の情報筋によると、CNNは現地時間今週13日（火曜）に買収に関するアナウンスを行う可能性があるという。 NYTimesによると、CNNは13日に発表を行うとの報道を否定し、買収の可能性についてはコメントを控えたというが、水面下で買収についての協議を行なっている模様だとされる。
