Procreate for iPad gets a major 2019 update
Savage Interactive has released the newest version of its software with a huge update on December 9th, 2019.
Procreate 5 runs on a new “Valkyrie graphics engine”, designed to get the best performance out of the iPad, with a redesigned and improved interface.
This version brings some of the most demanding features such as Animation Assist, Brush Studio for custom brush creation, Photoshop brush (ABR) import, CMYK mode for print and more.
The app is built to run on a new “Valkyrie graphics engine” which works with Apple Metal architecture and designed to get the best performance out of the iPad.
Animation Assist offers fundamentals like onion skinning and instant playback to helps you create rich illustrative animations, animatics and looping GIFs to share with others.
Brush Studio comes with over 100 new settings for unparalleled customization to build your own unique brush creations. You can also combine brushes for all-new Dual Brush experience.
This update includes Color Harmony, Color Dynamics, Color Companion, Clone Tool and floating color picker with a redesigned and improved interface.
At last you can import Photoshop brushes (.abr files) and the app company says “imported brushes work faster in Procreate than Photoshop”.
Procreate is available on the App Store for $9.99 / 1,220 Yen. Free update for all existing users.
