New iPad Pros are expected on October 30

Next-Gen iPads coming with new design Apple is set to hold the “There’s more in the making” media event on Tuesday, October 30th in New York City. The company has sent out invitations to several media. Apple is expected to unveil new iPad Pros, Apple Pencil and AirPods. It’s also possible that the Cupertino company will launch low-priced MacBooks which are successor to the MacBook Airs, as well as new iMacs, Mac Minis and potentially HomePods. New iPad Pro models are rumored to have a USB-C port, a TrueDepth camera for Face ID, faster chipset and slim bezels with no Home button.

iMac/MacBookファミリー、4月末までアップデートは無し？

次期Ivy Bridgeの出荷予定日に関して、Core i5 / i7 の一部モデルが4月29日にローンチされるとの情報が有力視されつつある。 4月末にリリースされる新コアiシリーズはクアッドコア版で、デュアルコア版は5月に先送りされ、正式発表は6月3日になる模様だ。 AppleがIntelからの優先措置またはカスタムチップの提供を受けないとするならば、Ivy Bridge世代の新型MacBook ProおよびiMac、Mac miniは4月末以降に発売され、さらに、超低電圧版（U-series）を採用するMacBook Airは6月以降にアナウンスされる可能性がある。 しかし、Intelの執行副社長であるショーン・マロニー氏は前月末、22nm製造チップの投入時期を当初予定されていた4月上旬から8〜10週間ほど先送りするとの見解を示しており、4月29日にどのくらいのボリュームが用意されるのかは不明である。 なお、Sandy Bridge-EことXeon E5ファミリーはすでに正式発表されているため、Mac Proについては近々にもアップデートされる可能性があるが、AppleはMac Proの開発継続を検討しているとも報じられており、先行きは不透明だ。
