Apple switching from Intel to its own custom chips for Macs over a two-year transition period At WWDC 2020, Apple has announced it will transition its Mac computers to its own custom-designed chips, moving away from Intel chips, and every Mac across its desktop and laptop product lines, including Mac Pro, is running on “Apple silicon” over the next two years. Next-Gen iPads coming with new design Apple is set to hold the “There’s more in the making” media event on Tuesday, October 30th in New York City. The company has sent out invitations to several media. Apple is expected to unveil new iPad Pros, Apple Pencil and AirPods. It’s also possible that the Cupertino company will launch low-priced MacBooks which are successor to the MacBook Airs, as well as new iMacs, Mac Minis and potentially HomePods. New iPad Pro models are rumored to have a USB-C port, a TrueDepth camera for Face ID, faster chipset and slim bezels with no Home button.
Apple has just released its latest Operating Systems designed for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on Monday, Sept. 17. The major software update “iOS 12” focuses on performance boosts and AR Experiences, also adding several new features like Screen Time, Siri Shortcuts, Memoji and more. iOS 12 was first unveiled at WWDC 2018 in June and now available on all devices able to run iOS 11 including 2013’s iPhone 5S, iPad Air and 6th-gen iPod touch.
